Speech Delivered at Youngstorget, March, 2024
My name is Peter Eisenstein and I am a white, American jew. I was born and raised in Los Angeles. Without knowing it, I grew up racist. My parents, my family, I, my friends, were all Zionists.
Not that all my friends were Jews. You don’t have to be a Jew to be a Zionist. Joe Biden is a Zionist. Many Norwegian politicians are Zionists.
You don’t have to be a Jew to be a Zionist, you just have to be a racist.
Why? Because Zionism is racism. Zionism is apartheid. Zionism is colonialism. And as we see today in Gaza, Zionism has its true expression in genocide.
Zionism comes from Europe. Europe wanted to get rid of its Jews. Zionism is a European colonial project. Like all European colonial projects, Zionism is based on lies.
Whether Zionists know it or not, they lie. They lie when they say Zionism is not colonialism, and then they base their claim on the Balfour declaration.
They say the Mizrahi, the Arab Jews, were driven from Arab lands. The truth is the Mizrahi lived in peace together with their Arab neighbors and friends. For hundreds of years Arabs, Muslims and Jews alike, lived in peace.
The truth is the Lehi, or Stern gang, this Zionist terrorist group set off bombs in Jewish areas of Iraq, set off bombs in Jewish areas of Egypt – Jews killing Jews – to make the Jews fearful.
To make jews flee to Zionist Israel.
It wasn’t the Arabs. It was the Zionists who did this!

What the Zionists fear most outside of Israel is the anti-Zionist Jew. That’s why in many countries it is considered antisemitic to criticize Israel. Because Zionists want to equate Judaism with Zionism. And I am here to tell you Zionism is not Judaism.
We have to tell the Norwegian government that Zionism is not Judaism. Because our government, this government in Norway today, enables genocide.
The Norwegian government has issued formal advice against trade with Israeli settlements. The Zionists are committing genocide and the Norwegian government wants us to focus on illegal settlements.
When a country commits genocide, does that not make the whole damn country illegal? Did we accept Nazi Germany – yes we did, for too long. And we allowed the holocaust to occur.
We have accepted Zionism too long – and now we have a new genocide. And this genocide must be stopped. Now! Just like Nazi Germany was eventually stopped.
But to stop the Zionists we have to remain united. True Judaism, just like true Islam, teaches love and tolerance.
When Zionism ends, and it will end, I pray we will be able to return to the love and acceptance we have traditionally shown each other.
